As a qualified diamond grader and diamond valuation expert, Fraser Brown can provide you with a jewellery appraisal for insurance purposes. Most jewellers offer this service but it takes 2 - 3 weeks and cost between 1% and 2% of the appraisal value (for example: a 50,000 Euro item would cost 500 Euros or more).

We do things slightly differently:
We appraise your jewellery during your appointment while you wait and your diamond will never leave your sight. Up to 1 carat diamonds are 150 Euro. Larger than 1 carat diamonds are 200 Euro. Bracelets, pendants and earrings appraisals are 125 Euro. Your appraisal will be emailed to you in PDF form.

Many people now purchase diamonds and jewellery abroad and then get resistance from their local jewellers when they try to get the local appraisal required for Irish insurance. We don’t mind if you purchased your diamond in New York, Antwerp, or Dubai – we will appraise it for you.
